no control of user’s content while browsing. The value system within this platform is greatly influenced
by the impressive social and business graph for its members. The social media giant, with more than 80
million users, in 2007 pushed the online marketing limit through the introduction of a controversial
marketing ploy, which was its beacon tool (Lehavot et al., 2012). This was mainly purposed on tracking
Facebook user's purchases and browsing data from different partner sites while broadcasting this
information to the members’ network.
Every member of this digital media platform, before signing up an account, there are provided
agreement of operation which the beacon tool drew criticism from the imperative online communities that
claimed Facebook violates user privacy while breaching the agreement. This led to ethical implications
that have become the most significant weakness, which the company has no control over (Burr, Taddeo &

face has been trying to limit the possibilities of opening new accounts among minors based on how its

the federal government because becoming a Facebook user is determined by a personalized choice of any
individual globally (Broer, 2020). This was termed as a lie from the communications authorities, which
