WGU C C121 TASK 2 SUBMISSION UNDERSTANDING INFP STRENGTHS FOR A CAREER IN
GRAPHIC DESIGN
Task 2 Submission
A1. After taking the 16 Personalities test self-assessment, my personality
type is INFP (Mediator). As a mediator, “you’re driven by a deep-seated
need for meaning and purpose. You thrive in environments that allow you to
express your creativity, help others, and stay true to your values. Careers in
counseling, teaching, writing, or the arts often appeal to your nurturing
nature and imaginative spirit. However, finding the right fit can be a journey
of trial and error, as you navigate the balance between your ideals and the
realities of the working world.” (16personalities, 2025).
A2. My desired job in the “Arts, Media, & Communication” field is Graphic
Designer.
A3. My personality type strongly aligns with my career choice because I
can express more of myself by being creative and open-minded. Another
strength is being able to have deeper and more meaningful conversations. A
downside is that my career choice requires consistent, effective
communication with staff and management, which can be hard for
introverted people like me who prefer fewer social interactions.
B1. The one additional question I asked in my interview was, “what are
the rewards and challenges of your job?”
B2.
• a. The person I interviewed has experience in Graphics Design and
UX Design and currently works as a Product Designer for a company
named GetLatka. At this organization, he is responsible for the design,
development, and layout of all products and magazines. The role of a
product designer is interesting because it focuses on the physical
aspect of a product like functionality and appearance, while graphic
designers focus more on marketing the product with visually
appealing content like advertisements and logos. Both roles
supplement one another, and a graphic designer can easily transition
to becoming a product designer because both roles require similar
skillsets.
• b. A great insight my professional contact gave me was, “My team
was responsible for discussions of current tasks and concepts and
ideas. We had to create a unified system that was designed for all
departments.” People from different backgrounds and experiences
working together towards a common goal can create positive benefits
like unique perspectives and insights. It also takes a good leader to be
