Understanding Investment Management
I was able to understand that change in investment market does exist therefore
introduction of strategies to insulate market against any future financial crisis is important. I can
apply transparency checks and balances so as to insulate investment landscape against crisis. I
learnt that change in an investment landscape is driven by rising interest rates in US and a
continued growth in Chinese market that has seen it move to a consumer based economy. I learnt
a lesson that most critical change to investors is diversification of assets class and Technology
has greatly influenced distribution channel of inventory across the world.
I understood market efficiency is referred to the extent to which security prices in the
stock markets can reflect all the information that is relevant to the stocks and stock markets is not
efficient since the information in stock market appear in different ways globally. The greatest
cause of inefficiency in market is lack of access to high speed price analysis systems and
inexistence of universally accepted means of analyzing stock. Existence of a lot of emotions
involved in valuating of stocks is another major reason.
I learnt that capital markets are associated with a number of risks and a number of
measures that can be put in place in case a miscalculated misfortune occur. One of the strategies
