Racial equality is a topic that explains the corrective justice for the communities that have
suffered oppression via genocide, colonization, theft of territory, and enslavement. The balance
seeks to reparation to the individuals who are denied similar opportunities as whites because of
institutionalized racism and a long history of legislating. For instance, African Americans
encountered enslavement, and Native Americans were faced with genocide.
The topic explains that administrators cannot realize that there is an equality issue
because of the biasness that exists in training, education, and upbringing. As a result, these may
impact the students' outcomes, teacher performance, admission practice, and curriculum.
Besides, racial equality emphasizes on dismantling whiteness, whereby whiteness refers to a
culture of values in favor of white individuals at the expense of other people. It hinders
historically marginalized learners from reaching their potential. It also prevents marginalized
students professionals from advancing their careers.
I selected this topic of racial equality because it develops goals that might result in
advancement for all groups. It can assist in creating strategies that are target based on the wants
of a specific group. Moreover, I chose the racial equality topic because I believe the systems that
are failing communities of color fail all of us.
My Opinion on the Topic
My opinion on affirmative action is that it is a good idea of fighting racism. It is a method
of ensuring diversity is achieved and maintained in the workstations and the universities.
Therefore, affirmative action can help in creating tolerant communities (Maxwell & Garcia,
2019). This is because it exposes persons to several philosophies and values that are dissimilar
from their own. Additionally, affirmative action assists the underprivileged individual who
