NCAC 13G .030 - ANS-DINING ROOM
(a) Family care houses certified on or after April 1, 1984 shall have a eating room or location
of at the least 120 square ft. The eating room may be used for different activities for the
duration of the day.
(b) When the eating region is utilized in combination with a kitchen, an area five toes wide
will be allowed as work area in front of the kitchen work areas. The work area shall not be
used because the eating location.
(c) The eating room shall have operable windows and be lighted to provide 30 foot candles
of light at floor stage.

a) Family care homes licensed on or after April 1, 1984 shall have a living room place of at
the least two hundred rectangular toes.
(b) All living rooms shall have operable home windows to meet the North Carolina State
Building Code and be lighted to offer 30 foot candles of light at ground stage.
NCAC 13G .0307 - ANS-KITCHEN
(a) The kitchen in a circle of relatives care home shall be massive enough to offer for the
training and maintenance of food and the bathing of dishes.
(b) The cooking unit shall be mechanically ventilated to the out of doors or be an unvented,
recirculating fan provided with any unique filter out in keeping with producers' instructions for
ventless use.
(c) The kitchen floor shall have a non-slippery water-proof overlaying.
