LA VOZ PASIVA
La Passive Voice se utiliza cuando nos interesa más la acción o el resultado que la persona
que realiza la acción.
1. ACTIVA Y PASIVA
• VOZ ACTIVA
People speak English in many countries.
La gente habla inglés en muchos países.
Lo importante es:
People → realizan la acción.
• VOZ PASIVA
English is spoken in many countries. El inglés se habla en muchos países.
Ahora lo importante es: English
2. ESTRUCTURA DE LA PASIVA
La regla fundamental es:
VERBO TO BE + PARTICIPIO
Ejemplos:
is made
are produced
was built
were invented
El participio es la tercera columna de los verbos irregulares:
write → wrote → written
make → made → made
build → built → built
speak → spoke → spoken
, 3. PRESENT SIMPLE PASSIVE
Utilizamos:
AM / IS / ARE + PARTICIPIO
• SINGULAR
IS + PARTICIPIO
English is spoken here.
Aquí se habla inglés.
This car is made in Germany.
Este coche se fabrica en Alemania.
• PLURAL
ARE + PARTICIPIO
Cars are made in this factory. Los coches se fabrican en esta fábrica.
These products are sold online. Estos productos se venden por Internet.

PASIVA
English is spoken all over the world.
