• Geomorphology is the study of the earth’s physical feature
and the processes that formed them
• Earths structure is similar to a boiled egg as we have different
layers
– Crust
❑This is the solid outer layer, 5 – 70km thick, which forms the land
– Mantle
❑This is hot rock below the crust, which accounts for 80% of earth’s
volume
❑The upper part is a hot sticky liquid of Molten rocks
– Core
❑This is divided into two parts
❑The hot molten outer core and the solid inner core
