Psychology (DE100)

This is a mini-research project regarding a replication of the flicker test and its effect on change blindness. The student was provided with raw data of 250 participants, however they had to source one participant of their own to complete the test to source more data. This was all written up by the student. Statistical analysis/tests were also performed by the student for this research.

This document explores mainly the phenomenon of bystander behaviour, while additionally including a coverage of the diffusion of responsibility and pluralistic ignorance topics. This document includes real world examples of where a community seemingly neglected their role, through the absence of help provided to Catherine (Kitty) Genovese and James Bulger, during their murders.

(Living Psychology). This assignment looks at research addressing whether non-human animals have a ToM, the role 'false belief' has played in developmental psychology, and finally what 'the frame problem' means in relation to building an artificial mind. Received 78/100 (OU grade 2:1)

(Exploring Psychology: Chapter 2). This assignment focussed primarily on the evolutional processes and how evolutionary psychologists have contributed to our understanding of altruism. Received 78/100 (OU grade 2:1)

(Exploring Psychology: Chapter 2 and 3). This essay looks at the ways humans have evolved to differ from our animal counterparts through language, attachment theory, sex, and gender. Received 72/100 (OU grade 2:1)

(Introducing the Social Sciences: Making Social Lives). An essay examining housing in England and the argument that neighbourly relations are routinely made and remade. Received 68/100 (OU grade 2:1)
