Thyroid Neoplasm includes benign adenomas and malignant cancers (papillary, follicular, medullary, and anaplastic carcinoma). Patients usually present with a painless thyroid nodule or neck swelling, sometimes with hoarseness or enlarged lymph nodes. Diagnosis is by thyroid function tests, ultrasound, and fine-needle aspiration (FNA), and treatment depends on the type, usually involving surgery with or without radioactive iodine.
