WGU D353 TASK II LATEST WITH COMPLETE SOLUTIONS 2025/2026
A)
1: Sales floor employees should be able to recite all brands of furniture sold at their location and
know at least three things about each brand within one month of working for the company.
Example: sustainably manufactured, vegan, American made
2: Sales floor employees are knowledgeable about the company’s payment plans and would be
able to answer any questions from customers about each plan and can learn this within 2 weeks.
3: Sales floor employees can quickly locate each kind of furniture item in the store as well as
specific sale items for the week and can do so within 30 minutes.
4: Sales floor employees must be able to use the company’s online ordering system with ease and
should be able to finish an order of one item within 8 minutes.
B)
The training program that I will develop is supported by adult learning theory because it
uses a “push” strategy. This means that the trainees will learn first and meet demands later. If the
expectation to meet demands is placed on the trainee too soon, this could result in stress, anxiety,
and poor performance. The basics of behaviorism is that people learn passively, meaning they
, learn by watching others and then trying it out themselves (Berkley, 2019). The program will
also be supported by behavioral theory because the trainees will go through a phase where they
will shadow an experienced employee, before working under their supervision, and finally
working on their own.
The trainee will also watch informational videos on the brands and products we offer to
meet objective #1. There will be a quiz after each video that the trainee must get a 100% on. The
trainee must walk the store and locate the items the video was talking about after each video.
Along with shadowing their trainer, this will allow the trainee to meet objective #3. The trainee
will be able to meet objective #2 by watching 5 videos (one per work day) on the different
payment plans the company offers. The trainee will be put in a controlled situation with their
trainer where the trainer role plays as a customer. The trainee must be able to answer any
questions the “customer” has for them. Objective #4 can be met by the trainee doing at least 3
practice orders per training day on the application's “training mode.” The trainer will first show
the trainee how to complete an order before giving the trainee different items for them to “order”
on their own. By the end of the week, the trainee will be able to meet the 8min time goal.
C)
One in-person facilitated method for effectively delivering the training program will be to
have an in person meeting with all of the regional managers where they will be shown the ins
and outs of the new program and will have the opportunity to provide feedback or ask any
questions about the program. After this meeting, the regional managers will each set up a
meeting with the managers within their division and walk them through the new training
program. By doing it this way, it saves the company money on transportation and facility costs
