Mission to discover extrasolar life
Introduction
There are thousands of discovered planets in the universe. However, the unique
characteristic that makes the earth an outstanding planet among others is its ability to support
life. However, this does not necessarily conclude that the earth is the only planet in the
universe that supports life. Various researches and studies have suggested a possibility that
there may be a possible existence of extraterrestrial life. The search for extra-terrestrial life
involves critical scientific inquiries including the query about the essential requirements of
life, the question as to whether there exist other similar planets like the earth, whether life can
have arisen elsewhere in the solar system and more critically the likelihood of evolution of
intelligent life. In this study, a proposal is provided on how an extrasolar life can be
discovered. The scope of the study will extend to discuss how to discover extrasolar life in
Enceladus. The study will scientifically argue why Enceladus is the promising and most
practical place to search for life. Additionally, the study will describe the various lifeforms
that are likely to be found in Enceladus. The techniques to be applied to complete the mission
will be highlighted in this study. Therefore, the mission of this study is to discover extra-
terrestrial life in Enceladus.
Mission location
There is an increasing belief by the scientists that there exists terrestrial life beyond
earth. But where should we look for terrestrial life? This is the leading question among the
researchers. Some astronomers point out to Venus which is dry and hot but it was believed
that I might have looked a lot like earth some billion years ago. Other astronomers suggest
the choice of mars which possesses the signs of water-rich distant past. Europa is another
choice that is believed to hold a subsurface ocean. This study chooses the astronomer’s
