Introduction


Lament for a Son is a book of Wolterstorff composes outs his excruciating memory of the

passing of his 25-year-old child Eric in a climbing mishap, and how he could settle his pain

through his confidence in God. His record of the occasions and grieving is straightforward and

delightfully composed. In this paper we examine Woterstorff's reflections in Lament For a Son,

For a Son, the Kubler-Ross’s five stages of grief, Wolterstorff joy after his loss, death in light of

the Christian narrative and the role of resurrection in comforting Wolterstorff.


Woterstorff’s Reflections in Lament for a Son


Lament for a son is an accumulation of tales and quotes which relates to creator who is

managing the passing of his Son "Eric" rashly while climbing mountains. The creator "Nicholas

Wolterstroff" accumulates the stories of Eric's life and passing. The primary reason for these

stories is to make a motivation amongst individuals as how the creator with confidence of God

has defeated this catastrophe. The book “Lament for a Son” is a moving book for all other people

who are managing or managed such tragedies throughout their life. The book was distributed to

offer voice to grieving of others (Axelrod, 2014).
