South Africa, my land
South Africa is not just a country, it is a soul, grown from pain, hope, and a journey
towards diversity. What I've learnt from ubuntu is– I am because you are. This simple
truth connects our people during times of struggle and difficulty.
Our history is challenging, defined by injustice and pain, but that history has become
the compass that has showed us a path of a democracy that is rich in dreams and hope.
From the pain came the light.
South Africa supports other oppressed countries, such as Palestine, because we know
what it feels like to be silenced, and so we carry their struggle in our hearts.
Even during Covid-19, South Africa did not stand back. Our doctors stepped forward
and ideas reached out to the. We a strong nation and we believe in one another.
This is the land of great figure, Nelson Mandela, Desmond Tutu, Miriam Makeba, and
many others who have strived for the future of our country. They are the foundation on
which we've built upon.
It is a country where forgiveness is not just a word, but a living proof that hatred is
learnt and if hatred can be learnt, love can be taught. South Africa, my land, a land of
great struggle, healing and unbelievable growth.
