P6
interpreting their levels of fitness against normative data
Compare the fitness test results to normative data and identify strengths and areas for
M4
improvement
Analyse the fitness test results and provide recommendations for appropriate future activities or
D2
training

Task Two
You are now required to feedback to your ‘example employee’, in order to assist the employee with future development, you will be required to write a
report – this way the employee will have evidence to always use. Within the report you will discuss their results in depth whilst still ensuring a well-structured
and clear approach.

30m Sprint Strengths:
The athlete got a time of 4.87s for the 30m sprint. This puts him in the poor category compared to the national norms
data for 16-19 year olds. Therefore this gives him a good starting base to improve from and with the right training it is
possible for him to reach the average category or better.
Areas For Improvement:
For the athlete to improve, he would need to do plyometric training as this increases the fast twitch muscle fibres which
allows the athlete to run faster and to get a better start. This type of training includes a lot of jumping and bounding
which is why the start will become a lot better.

Feedback: Therefore, by doing plyometric training he will improve his time by a large amount.

, Standing Stork test Strengths:
The athlete got a time of 4.19s on his left leg for the standing stork test. This puts him in the poor category compared to
the national norms data for 16-19 year olds. Therefore this gives him a good starting base to improve from and with the
right training it is possible for him to reach the average category or better.
Areas For Improvement:
For the athlete to improve, he would need to do plyometric training as this can increase the athlete’s balance. This type
of training will include a lot of hopping because this helps with balancing on one leg which is what the standing stork test
is.

Feedback: Therefore, with this type of training the athlete can greatly improve his time so then he will get into a much better
category.

Illinois agility test Strengths:
The athlete got a time of 18.44s in the illinois agility test. This puts him just in the poor category compared to the male
norm for the agility test. Therefore this gives the athlete a good starting point to improve from and get into a better
category.

Areas For Improvement:
For the athlete to improve, he would need to do cone and ladder drills. This is because they require quick foot
movement which is a key part of agility.

Feedback: Therefore, by doing these drills the athlete’s agility will improve a lot and he will be able to get into a much better
category.
