Edexcel GCSE Maths Higher Tier – November 2024 Overview Paper 1 (Non-Calculator) Included clear questions early on (e.g. nth term, surds). Later questions got more complex: recurring decimals, fractional indices, and quadratic topics. Algebra was heavily featured toward the end. Paper 2 (Calculator) Mixed difficulty: procedural questions on Pythagoras, prime factor trees, and quadratic graphs. Challenging problems on trigonometry, surds, and equation solving. Gradual increase in difficulty throughout the paper. Paper 3 (Calculator) Started with accessible questions (HCF, standard form, tree diagrams). Progressed into more advanced content like vector geometry and 3D volume. Final questions were designed to stretch the highest-achieving students.
