MED5901 ASSIGNMENT 01/2025
MED5901
ASSIGNMENT 01
UNIQUE NUMBER: 613872
DUE DATE: 29 MAY 2025 (before 11:00pm)
Take note of the following:
1. Submission of the first compulsory assignment will give a student admission to the
examination. Failure to submit the first assignment on time will result in automatic
cancellation of your registration and you will consequently not be allowed to write the
examination. The mark for this assignment will contribute 15% towards the student’s
final mark. The mark a student obtains for the second assignment, will contribute
another 15% towards the student’s final mark. The examination will then contribute
70% towards the student’s final mark. [15% (assignment 01) + 15% (assignment 02)
= 30% + 70% (examination) = 100%]
2. Consequently, students who only submit the first compulsory assignment will have
admission to the examination but will lose the opportunity of adding the marks to be
obtained for the second compulsory assignment to their final marks and may find it
difficult to obtain the required final mark to pass the module. They will
nevertheless be admitted to the examination.
