MANDATORY DESIGNS:
- T-shirt
- Leaflet & stickers
- 2 social media
- Clothing
- Additional merch, e.g badge, tote bag, keyrings
An image may be good for my social media but is should add statistics to the poster
Things to consider when designing your campaign:
- Orderly and logical structure
- Graphic or Eye-capturing images
- Persuasive language
- Promote the reader to act against the issue
- Make sure the posters align with your target audience
- Align your materials with the campaign
Text:
- Text on posters or leaflets should be visually appealing and in a darker colour in
order to make it easier to read
- Logos should be colourful and possibly include images
- For radio and tv adverts you should write out a script that is interesting enough to
hold the listeners attention and create a scenario with it
Persuasive Language Basics:
- Repetition
- Rule of three / triples
- Hyperbole
- Emotional and emotive language
- Rhetorical questions
- Addressing the reader directly
- Case studies and analogies
Additional notes:
- Promotion of actions - perhaps signing a petition, volunteering, sending
letters/emails to the MP. Make sure instructions are clear on how to help. The
website that users must go to in order to access the petition should not be
complicated and should be easy to navigate
- Considering your target audience - young people are more likely to be attracted to
flashy colours, concise information and a catchy and easy to remember slogan.
- Aligning materials with the campaign - materials should be clearly linked to one
another e.g by using a slogan for example ‘ No knives, Better Lives’.
- Variety in materials - they can all have the same principals, logo and slogan, but
you should vary which aspects of your aims you have in each item
