Micelles are formed by surfactants (Traps dirt for removal)
Surfactants are amphiphilic (Hydrophilic head w/ hydrophobic tail)
Arranged in a way to minimise contact between hydrophobic tail and
solvent
Low concentrations for an alignment on water surfaces
Higher concentrations allow surfactants to assemble into micelles
Micelle cores trap hydrophobic drugs
Osmotic Pressure
Depends on concentration of solute inside a solution
Adding more surfactant molecules doesn’t increase it’s quantity once a
certain concentration is reached. The molecules only add to the micelle
