Task 4: Action Plan
GLL Workington sports centre
What I want to achieve while doing my work experience placement:
Suggest how you might be able to achieve them:
The main Aim and Objective:
My personal main aim and objective are to complete my work experience with GLL
(organisation) sports centre also complete the number of hours I need for a work placement
as it is part of my course.
The way that I would achieve this by, is I would aim to come on time for work placement so
that I would never be late which means that I will after get an earlier bus, and this will help
me to leave a good impression on the staff/ managers. In order for them to see that I’m
engaged and am a team player as I’m committed to what I’m doing. Another one attends all
the dates that I must come into when asked to do them as this will allow me to get work
experience hours in and help complete the work experience placement hours for my
placement which is my aim and objective. So in order to do that I would need to accept all
that I get in order to finish the work placement also I could ask for more hours in order for
them to finish the placement.
Targets:
The first target within doing my work experience is to make sure to increase confidence
within a new environment and in new group situations! The way that I can achieve that is by
saying yes to every job that is given to me by the duty manager, which will allow me to
increase my confidence as I will be doing things that I have never done before, which will
help me break the barriers as I complete the jobs I will know what it is like to do them which
will allow me to get more confidence as I will have no fear of doing it again.
If there is an opportunity to work with other members of staff, is to make sure that I
engaged and help them and work with them which will allow me to be put in a group
situation and work together. Which will allow me to get to know them better also allow me
to engage with other people within the centre which will allow me to work in different types
of group situations,
Another target would be for me, is to try and get a causal job at the GLL sports centre after
work experience. The way I would try do this is as I mentioned earlier to try to impress them
well as possible and then at the end of my work experience ask them if they have any jobs
going so that I could do it. If not I would ask them what do I after do in order to get to that
place which allow me to get the job in the future.
