• Valerie has a motivational challenge as she cannot see why she needs to lose weight, and why she should change her lifestyle. This is a big barrier as one o
she cannot go out of the house is because it is hard for her to as she is obese which makes it difficult for her to get around.
• She also has a practical challenge as she gets bullied by the local teenagers because of her obesity. This makes Valerie not want to go home which is a probl
can’t go anywhere else . This also makes her not want to go out as she doesn’t want to get the abuse off the people that are bullying her.
• Valerie has mental health issues that began once her parents died when she was 6, this mean that she might have attachment issues and past trauma. She

• Valerie has a hearing impairment which has never been assessed which could be a challenge as it may lead to a lack of understanding between Valerie and

Tremayne
• Tremayne has a lack of understanding about his wheat allergy as he does not understand that he cannot eat things with wheat in or it will make him ill, he s
pizza and sandwiches. This is a barrier as he doesn’t understand that he cannot eat these things.
• Tremayne also has disruptive behavior and bursts of anger which he cannot control, which means that he needs carers to help him as he lives independentl
challenge as he will not be able to go anywhere without help other-wise he may be distressed on his own in public. Service users are also becoming distress
