The purpose and benefits of the website:
This company is a new business which specialises in ecommerce and are willing to
sell their products via their website. The website must allow customers to purchase
easily and must be user friendly. The main benefits of this website can include
reaching a huge audience and convenience. For example, this website will specialise
as a fragrance brand who would like to reach a global audience. Also, customers are
able to browse and purchase products from the comfort of their homes whenever
they want to.
The intended audience of the website (P4)
The intended audience for this ecommerce website will usually be those who are
really interested in buying perfumes for their day to day use or even gifts. The
audience could be individuals of all genders and any ages. The demographics can
be different based on the variants of perfumes being sold on the website. For
instance, this ecommerce website is more of a modest company, therefore they
would be selling affordable perfumes which can target a younger audience who are
interested in spending on a budget.
Currently, we hold a store based in Ilford Lane (East London) and we gain many
customers coming to purchase our products. However, many customers are always
rushing to buy our fragrances and it leads to busy hours and crowds. A website can
be extremely helpful in order for customers to purchase our products easily from the
comfort of their own homes. Therefore, this is the genuine reason why a website
must be created to fulfil the needs of our customers.
Software and hardware requirements
For an ecommerce website, there are software and hardware requirements that are
utilised. Developing my website requires a lot of software. I must use software that
allows me to develop at the finest level possible. I will utilise softwares such as:
● Adobe Photoshop
● Adobe Dreamweaver
● Adobe Premiere Pro
● Adobe Animate
This softwares from Adobe will allow me to develop my website efficiently. Adobe
Photoshop will be used in order to create mockups/designs for my website. By using

photoshop I can design how my website will look and also the products. The
software can also allow me to create the logos, banners and any artwork which will
be displayed on the website.
Dreamweaver is a powerful piece of software that will allow me to create websites
virtually and from any location. This software is appropriate for many website
creators. Skill level is not an obstacle when it comes to using this software. You can
use programming languages such as CSS, HTML and many more. This software is
an extreme benefit because it will let me develop my website to a high standard.
In regards to hardware, I will use my PC or laptop from home. My PC is built with
specific specifications such as 16GB RAM of, and an i3 processor. I believe that
these pieces of hardware will be more than enough to create and develop my
website.

In order for my website to be efficient and running smoothly, I need to ensure that I
am going along with correct web design principles which will meet client
requirements and will stand out. Many people may require accessibility features
when they are browsing for products on my website.
I will use Usability, Accessibility and Navigation.
