Argumentative text for school uniforms
School uniforms have always been a hot topic. Today
I’m going to layout a few pros and cons to help you
make up your own opinions about it.
On one hand, school uniforms may not be suitable for
you if fashion in a way to express yourself. Looking
all the same, school uniforms are often boring. You
can’t show that you’re a fan of that particular band pr
that your favorite color is pink through clothing.
Furthermore, since everyone looks the same, you
would have a lot of trouble finding you best friend if
they'd ever get lost in a crowd of students. Being
mandatory, school uniforms might be uncomfortable
to wear on days with abnormal weather. They could
also be discriminatory towards people of a certain
religious belief. For example, some Muslims can’t
wear school uniforms if they are short-sleeved.
On the other hand, it is important to consider that
school uniforms save a lot of time. You’d never have
to choose what to wear nor would you ever have to
debate with teacher about the school’s dress code.
Some further benefits that com with school uniforms
are that it is easy to identify people from the school,
thus helping to eliminate threats. School uniforms
also contribute to reducing social differences. You
can’t tell a person’s social circumstances just by
looking at them. Poor kids can feel included because
they look just the same as their classmates. Last but
not least, school uniforms cost significantly less,
which helps saving a lot of money.
In conclusion. I personally prefer having school
uniforms. Being indecisive, school uniforms are
perfect for me since I don’t have to spend time
picking out my clothes.
