Learners may prefer one or more of several learning styles, and on this basis, we place them in the
following categories: auditory learners, visual learners and tactile learners.
1.1. Explain the following learning styles using your own understanding after reading what
literature says about them and give one example on how you are going to teach learners with
these different learning styles:
A) Tactile learners
Tactile learners, also known as kinesthetic learners, prefer to learn through hands-on activities and
physical engagement. They thrive when they can touch, manipulate, and actively participate in
learning experiences. For example, in teaching environmental science, an educator could take tactile
learners on a nature walk where they can collect samples, observe wildlife, and engage in planting
activities. This hands-on approach helps them to connect theory with practical experience, enhancing
