Unit 1 – P5
The format of the business that I choose is sole trader. A sole trader is a person who is
the restrictive proprietor of a business, qualified for keep all benefits after taxes has been
paid however at a risk for all misplaces. I choose this format because the business is small
and if I choose a partnership then the business will be bigger. Also, a sole trader business
is easy to start up. For more, only a small quantity of capital should be contributed which
decreases the underlying start-up. Furthermore, the wage will be low than using a
different type of format as there may be a few or no employee. It is less demanding to
keep genera control, in the light of the fact that the proprietor has a hands-on way to deal
with maintaining the business and can settle on choices without counselling any other
person.
However, the reason that I didn’t choose partnership is because I should share the
responsibilities with someone else and arguments can emerge over choices that must be
made or about the exertion one partners is hitting into the firm related thru another. Also,
the dispersion of profits can bring issues as well. The deed of association sets out who
ought to get what, however if one accomplice feels another is not doing what’s needed,
there can be disappoint. In the end, the reason that I didn’t choose partnership is because
I couldn’t and didn’t want to find anyone else that is interesting in opening the business
with me and because a partnering business ask for a bigger business and in the end to be
successful.
Additionally, I need to mention that there are some disadvantages of choosing a sole
trader as frequently work has extended periods and is hard to take holidays or time off
on the off chance that I’m sick. Also, the sole trader has nobody to share the duty of
maintaining the business with. My business, for example, may not be great at taking care
of the records, so I need to practice more until I get used to it because there is no one
else to do it. There is also the danger of unlimited liability, where I can be compelled to
offer personal assets for cover any business obligations.
Furthermore, the reason I didn’t choose a social enterprise is because I don’t earn at least
50% of income from trading, I don’t reinvest most profits in environment as I’m using
them in launching new products or for supply.
