In this assignment, I will be analysing my conurbation to the selection process in a given situation.
In order to make best out of our selection process in interviewing people, we had to prepare a
meeting to disuses the pre-interview process and the relevant information needed before the actual
interview process took place. As result, I have to invite my team member to attend our meeting and
they have accepted to come and attend it. The discussion have helped us to outline important and
essential aspects of the upcoming interview. During the discussion, we have decided a few
important speciation that the personal specification is the main method for short-listing and
assessing their, skills, attributes, knowledge and experience any other qualifications they have
achieved. As result, are looking for specific requirements that a successful candidate must have. We
also have ensure all the application packs is completed in order to provide the applicant the right
and relevant information such as job description and job application form. At the end of discussion,
we have we come up with the idea that our team member have to split and take a role in interview
process. Therefore, I had to become an interviewee and other members choose to the interviewers.
This helped us to understand the process very clearly and with more confident to complete the
process smoothly and successful.
Before the interview took place, I had to some do some research to be prepared ahead of my
interview for a customer assistant in order to become more successful and confident in the real
interview. The researcher included some information about the common question that Tesco (the
company I am applying for) usually asks in order to prepare myself with a strong answers, as well as
having more information about the company itself. By practising and learning more questions and
the proper questions that they might ask me during the interview, it enable me to be more confident
and minimise my nervous during the process and make sure that I am answering the question with
confident and in a clear manner. Working in real life made it much more easier for me to fully
prepared for the day of the interviews, as any previous experience I had helped me in the end to
write my CV and covering letter with excellent professional and more strong academic studies. This
is therefore will allow me to be an outstanding applicant in order to success in my career goal and as
well in the upcoming interview.
Once the interview process have started, I was able to greet and shake my hand with Tesco manger
(employer) who was very polite, keen and respectful. Handshaking as I believe is an essential and the
acceptable standard for greeting people in most social and professional settings, and therefore it
allowed me show the respect that I keen toward the interview and in order to create a positive first
impression. This also will help my interview process to go as smoothly as possible as it help to make
good connections and relations with manger to get ahead in the professional world. Also, I was able
to intrude myself in a very clear manner as well as the interviewer which helped us to create a
positive atmosphere and to come over of the nervousness and the pressure that I had at the first
meeting. Once the interviewer started asking question, I was more confident to answer clearly and
precise responds due to my preparation that I have done previously before the interview started. I
felt more comfortable as the interviewer’s respond were extremely positive with a very polite
answers which helped me more in order to control my nervous and being more confident.
I had been asked different type of question: personal questions, behavioural question and
experience verification questions. I was definitely comfortable answering all this question as the
interviewer pointier some of skills, strengths and knowledge were extremely important and essential
for their company which allowed me to be confident during the entire interview. Therefore, this
practicing interview helped me a lot to be ready and confident for the upcoming interview as now I
