In this assignment I will be explaining how employee performance is measured
and managed.
Performance management includes actiites which ensure that goals are
consistently being met in an efectie and efcient manner. Performance
management can focus on the performance of an organizatonn a departmentn
and employee. Employees are assessed on how well they do their Job/ task
they haie been setn they are than compared with a set of standards
determined by the employer. Expected basic criteria’s from an employer to an
employee includes things such as employees needing to be on tme to start
workn and they should always look presentable. In additonn employee
performance is a process for establishing a shared workforce understanding
about what is to be achieied at an organisaton leiel. It is about the company’s
objecties with the employees' agreed measuresn skillsn competency
requirementsn deielopment plans and the deliiery of results.
Measuring performance
Performance measurement is fundamental to organisatonal improiement.
The importance of performance measurement has increased with the
realisaton that to be successful in the long-term requires meetng all
stakeholders' needs including customersn consumersn employeesn suppliersn
local community stakeholdersn and shareholders It consist of creatng simplen
but efectien system for determining whether organizatons meet objecties.
Performance indicators-
Eiery business has a diferent technique to measure employee’s performance.
For instancen Debenhams’s way of measuring their employees performance is
by recording their employee’s performancen by doing thisn they are able to
show their employees their recordn and show where there is room for
improiement. In additon to thisn they measure how they treat each of their
customers within the business and how much they ofer their seriices to them.
The more the employees work hard within the businessn the higher chance
they would a raise. This shows that they are working hard within the business
and so the managers notce thisn which results into the employees getng a
