Health and Safety is a large concern and a legal compliance in many places, and this also
applies to a Forest School (FS) scenario. It enables the provision for safety and for ensuring
compliance with the Safeguarding of children.
It helps to meet the needs of learners by minimising risk of injuries to themselves and others
and thus helps them enjoy their experiences whilst attending a FS session.
The Following diagram illustrates a list of PPE that may be needed for a Forest School
session, along with a First Aid Kit:
