completed in this course. What changes did you note in your post-TANIC TIGER
assessment from when you started this course in week 1?
Prof. Gagnon and class,
By reviewing the outcomes of this course, I realized that I did learned many things.
For example, I certainly learned the concept of data, knowledge, and wisdom,
nursing informatics, et al. As we know, one of the outcomes listed on the website
that defining key terms in informatics, nursing informatics to have good quality
patient care (Chamberlain College of Nursing, 2019). However, I feel the most
helpful concept is the e-Portfolio which help me build up self-reflection and
improve my job performance.
What changes did I note in my post-TANIC TIGER assessment from when I started
this course in week 1? I would say I have major changes in demonstrating
procedures that keep and maintain security and confidentiality of patient health
information. Before taking this course, I had education on HIPPA (Health Insurance
Portability and Accountability Act of 1996). However, on the electronic
communication level, I am very confused with what the expected behavior should
be. Now, after this course, I would say I am more sensitive about these kinds of
issues. Certainly, this course helps me with my daily job. Of course, I also have
changes in other assessment. This course certainly provides many theoretic
, knowledge about nursing informatics.
And more, I would like to mention the concept of personal health information. It
was reported that personal health information is refined as identifiable data
relating to patient’s past, present, or future physical or mental health (Gostin,
Halabi, & Wilson, 2018). The HIPPA safeguards the
