Buildings and facilities
Stockport College will use the buildings and facilities to ensure that their business runs efficiency. They must make sure that they have enough building for
their different departments. Also Stockport College needs to make sure that there buildings are safe for their customers (students) to have a good and save
environment for teaching.

Stockport College have different facilities such as toilet in every building inside the college, they have free water machine in the canteen area and also in
some classrooms. In Stockport College they have Starbucks in front of the gate entrance which allows to people to buy their food from there and also stay in.

The stairs in Stockport College are suitable and fit for purpose, they are used to allow people in the college to travel form different floors. The stairs are an
emergency provision as the if there was a fire , people will not be able to use the lift as they will be not working in the emergency of fire, so the people will
use the stair as a safe and quick way to leave the building. They are also accessible for everyone to use and the college provide ‘stairs’ sign for people to
recognize where the stairs are.

The stairs provide high efficiency for different things, for example, it helps people move their muscles and get fitter. As the college has 5 floors ,going up and
down using the stair will be better for people’s health that using the lift. The college provide good security in the stairs; the stairs has some cameras to keep
observation on the stairs this will help to keep the college safe place.

The stairs always cleaned up by the cleaners and maintained to look nice and people can use them. This to ensure the college is a good place to be in and
also to have a clean area.

Stockport College need to make sure their buildings are insured, this will help the college to protect their buildings against the fire, electricity, storm, floods
or earthquakes which could damage their buildings during the years. The college insurance is one of the most essential things in the college because their
building is cost much than anything else in the college ,as result if they don’t insure their building they will loss lot money to repair damaged buildings.

Materials
Stockport College need to make sure that they have all the materials that students and staff need. This includes supplies such as inks and textboxes.
Stockport College will need to make sure that they have the right amount of their materials in the colleges to keep up with demand of the students and the
staff inside the college.

The college have different type of materials in different department for example; the hair dress departments has to make sure that they have shampoo,
scissors ,make-up and hairbrush etc.

Textbooks are important as they fit for the purpose and they allow students to read the books and make notes, as a result of that the student will learn more
and achieve higher grades .Textbooks are efferent as the teachers doesn’t have to write all the time on the board, this will save them time which will mean
they can spend this time for helping student who does not understand and need the teacher to explain again. There are a few security measures that the
college has to ensure before buying textbooks. They have to make sure that the textbooks include all the right information, and also they have to ensure that
they are safe for the students to use. For the ergonomic issue for the textbooks, the college need to make sure that they are easily transported and easy to
use. Ink is one of the important supplies in the college as the staff and students use it 24/7 to print their work and different items. The ink is fit for its
purpose because it is allow the students and staff to print their work whenever it is needed. Ink is efficient because it dry immediately when you print your
work so it’s become stable.

Waste
Stockport College may decide to reduce the amount that they spent and use renewable resources, this will help the environment maintain it
clean and save money. They could use the plastic food waste such as papers, plastic bottles and anything plastic, so they can recycle it which
they can get benefits of doing this.
The college try to save energy as much as possible, for example, the leaving make sure to turn off the lights and computers before leaving the
room so the college can save energy, and also the computers turn them self when nobody touch them and this will have benefit on the college
as it will save money by reducing waste of energy.

Also another way they could reduce the costs is by giving their staffs and students a limited amount of supplies to work with. Stockport College
can ask the government to help them to get rid of their waste and therefore. The college could do some improvements by providing general
waste bins, bottle bins and papers bins as it will help a lot to reduce waste.
