a) Define the term business Ethics
Business ethics can be described as ethics regarding the study of proper business policies
and practices regarding potentially controversial issues, such as corporate governance,
insider trading, bribery, discrimination, corporate social responsibility and fiduciary
responsibilities, child labor and sweat shops. They are a set of principles and moral values
that guide the behavior of an organization and its employees.
b) Brief Introduction of Primark Company
The Primark company is an international clothing retailer that was founded in Dublin,
Ireland. Primark also offer a diverse range of products, including new-born and children's
clothing, women's wear, men's wear, home ware, accessories, footwear, beauty products
and confectionery. The company sells clothes at a low cost end of the market below average
prices which is how it draws its customers. In 1969 the first store opens in Dublin, Ireland
with Ireland now having 38 Primark stores in total and in 1973 the first store opens UK with
The UK now has 174 Primark stores in total. Primark is a private limited company.
