PRAXIS Teaching Reading 5205 - Study Guide 100% Solved Literacy The ability to understand and demonstrate both reading and writing during school tasks as well as outside of school. Balanced Literacy An approach based on the view of combining both a teacher-centered and student-centered classroom. What are the Components of Balanced Literacy? Reading literature, reading non-fiction, new literacy, literacy strategies and skills, oral language, vocabulary, comprehension, writing, and spelling. What is behaviorism? A teacher-centered theory.
