The Certified Professional Coder (CPC) mock exam
The Certified Professional Coder (CPC) examination is offered by the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC), and it is designed to evaluation a physician practice coder's knowledge of medical terminology, human anatomy, and coding concepts in CPT, HCPCS level II, and ICD-9-CM (or ICD-10-CM), including the use of modifiers. The examination is organized in three sections, and it contains 150 questions. Students are allowed five hours to complete the exam; and the use of CPT, ICD-9-CM (or ICD-10-CM) and HCPCS level II coding manuals is permitted. Although the actual certification exam is timed, you will not be for the mock exam. You can take as long as you need to answer the questions. Please do not simply guess. You will need to select the best answer for the question being asked. If you have any questions, please contact your instructor. To complete the mock exam, please download the mock exam that is in a PDF format. You can save the mock exam to your desktop and or print it off to work on. You will also need to download the student answer sheet. You will be typing your answers into the student answer sheet. Once you have completed all 150 questions, you will then save the student answer sheet in your name and upload the assignment.
