As part of this report I have been exploring the opportunities and benefits that internet
marketing provides to a company, so I will be describing the benefits and opportunities that
Tesco gets from internet marketing considering the 7Ps of the marketing mix.

Price

The benefits of price when it comes to internet marketing are cost saving due to the fact that
there’s not middle man needed to make a purchase, which saves costs because Tesco doesn’t
need to buy all goods from other producers and sell them to customers because Tesco also
produce their own products, and price update, the benefits of price in internet marketing is
the rapidly prices updates that keeps customers up to date, and cost will also be reduced
because no repackaged will be needed.

The opportunities of price in internet marketing are, the different offers that Tesco could offer
to their customer in order to increase the amount of sales and increase the number of
customers and consumers, another opportunity is the competence, thereby Tesco can put an
appropriate price to their products based on the competence prices to be able to attract more
customers.

Product

One benefit for Tesco that internet marketing has on product is the variety of the whole
product that the company has, for example, in the Tesco’s online store we can find different
products that are not available on physical stores, which encouragers people to buy more of
their products due to the diversity of goods for example we can find personal care products in
the online store but we cannot find them in a physical store because an online store contains
more products giving to customer a big range of products, another benefit for Tesco is the
detailed information given of the product which helps customers to take better decisions at
the time of purchase, for example the toothbrushes are designed with new technologies and
materials that help people to clean and have whiten teeth, all this information that is given in
the online store about this product would not be giving in a phicical store by an employee that
works there.

One opportunity that internet marketing has on products, is that people or customer can look
for product just by typing their name, which makes the search a lot easier and quicker, another
opportunity that a lot of companies have is the stock checking to see if there is any available at
the store, Tesco can implement this to let customers know if there is any product that has not
been supplied yet, so customers can demand for more of this product, so Tesco can increase
more consumers.

Promotion

A benefit of internet marketing when it comes to promotion are the offers and promotions
that Tesco offers to the customers, for example if you buy one product, you can get one free,
which persuades people to buy this product, this benefits Tesco because this strategy of
marketing increasing the amount of the company sales, promotion also is free because they
