AN ACID-BASE TITRATION
Aim: The aim of the experiment is to determine the concentration of solution
of sodium hydroxide by titration against a standard solution of potassium
hydrogen phthalate.

Small burette (50cm3)
A stand
2 beakers
Sodium hydroxide solution (100cm3)
Pipette
Pipette filler
Standard potassium hydrogen phthalate solution
4 conical flasks
Phenolphthalein indicator solution (250cm3)
White tile
Wash-bottle of distilled water
Risk Assessment:
1. Safety google should be worn throughout the experiment to avoid the
solution coming into contact with the eye.
2. All bags and books should be cleared from the table.
