Data Protection Act: The data protection act is in place for every organisation as it’s there to follow and
comply with. As the LTM follow the data protection act by ensuring customers that the information
stored is safe which is mentioned in their policies page. The policies page that can ensure customers
that they will never release any personal information to another organisation. An example of this can be
another business such as Durham Council, as with this act as they have stated that they will not release
any information against someone’s will. If they don't pass the personal information on their policies
page will have to state that they must ask for that person's permission first and gain their consent and
state what they are using the information for.
Both London Transport Museum and the Durham Council will follow this act to ensure that they aren't
breaking any laws and they are not sharing any personal information. For LTM to implement this into
their organisation it will mean that the staff will have to be trained to know what they need to do which
could be expensive for the business.

piece of information the customers or the business has been asked. This can be found by telephone

implement this into their organisation it will mean that the staff will have to be trained to know what
they need to do which could be expensive for the business.
Both the LTM and Durham Council follow this Act to ensure the public and other businesses that they
have nothing to hide.
