Employers are increasingly unhappy with the levels of preparedness of young people leaving education
and entering the workplace.
The Telegraph – More than half of employers said all/almost all graduate recruits started work without
vital attributes, such as teamwork, communication, punctuality and ability to cope under pressure.

,In general, employers are positive about the transferable skills of graduates. Main areas of concern are
time management (9%) and presentation skills (8%). Somewhat less positive about school and college
leavers.

, Employers are most concerned about career management skills, the ability to manage up, and
