M3- Produce a summary that addresses each element of your campaign for
each element explain why it was included in the campaign and its role.

Introduction

In this assignment I am going to produce a summary that addresses all the elements
of my promotional campaign. Also I am going to explain why each element was
included in the campaign and what the role of each element is.
The elements I have chosen for my campaign are radio, TV, Billboards and social
media. Below I am going to explain why I chose these elements and what their roles
are.
Radio
I have chosen to use radio as one of my advertising mediums to promote the
campaign ,it will cost £200,000 to be broadcasted on such radio stations like BBC
radio 1 , Capital FM and Heart FM .I have chosen these particular radio stations
because these are the ones which are the most listened to in the United kingdom. I
have spent this much on the ratio advertisement as I want my radio advert to be on
the air so that the public will be able to hear about the company Cadbury as long as
possible. I will also choose a time I want the adverts on air such as in this case I
want the adverts to be on air yearly so that the advert will be able to get the message
across all 64 million people in the United Kingdom to be precise. As for the timing of
the advert I will be advertising the advert in the given time which will be between
8am to 5pm and the reason on why I will be advertising at these times because
people will either be going to work in their car or will be doing other things such as
shopping which will have music playing from the radio the times given is the best
times to advertise Cadburys new products.
The limitation though broadcasting the campaign on radio stations like Capital FM
would be that there are only two times that just about everyone is tuned in as people
in the morning and evening commute e.g. work. These are the two times that we will
see the most turnaround for the radio ad therefore it limits Cadbury to advertise the
campaign. As Well as that there are only so many spots to go around and Cadbury
could end up paying a hefty price to land one on a well listened to station like Capital
FM. Another limitation could occur as there are so many other stations that are still
playing music that it can be very difficult to get people to stay tuned in long enough
to hear about the advertisement.
TV

I have also chosen to promote my campaign through television adverts as I found by
promoting TV advert it can reach more of a target audience e.g. older people. The
channels that I have chosen to advertise the campaign are ITV, Channel 4 and
Channel 5. The reason on why I will be advertising Cadburys new products on these
channels is because these channels are the most viewed in the country .The times
that I will be advertising the TV advert will be between 4pm and 8 pm and the
reason for this is because during these times both adults and children will be either
watching TV before they go to work or school so that during these times even though
they will be at work and school when they come back the advert will still be on TV by
the time they comeback which will make them aware of the products which are being
sold. The costs I have chosen to spend on the television advertisements is £400,000
and the reason for this is because I want the advert to be on as long as possible so
that with more promotion the potential customers may buy the product.
