Me gusta mucho mi escuela porque te ayuda a hacer nuevos amigos y te da la
oportunidad de ser creativo. El insti tiene muchas aulas, un comedor, un patio, una piscina y
un gimnasio y un gran salon de actos .Desafortunadamente no tiene cine o laboratorios
pero por un lado es bueno ya que tiene menos exámenes pero por otro lado limita a
desarrollar tus talentos

I like my school a lot because it helps you make new friends and give you the opportunity to
be creative. The school has lots of classrooms, a cafeteria, playground, a swimming pool and
gym and a big hall. Unfortunately, it doesn't have a cinema or labs but on the one hand
that’s good as it means less homework but on the other hand it limits individuality
2) ¿Qué asignaturas te gustan y no te gustan? ¿Por qué?

What subjects do you like and do not like? Why?

En el insti mi asignatura favorita es matemáticas ya que son muy fáciles y divertidos porque
mi profesor de matemáticas es muy simpatico, tiene un buen sentido del humor y me inspira
a hacer bien. También me gusta la química y la biología porque son prácticas, pero la física
es muy aburrida porque es muy exacta y mi profesora de física es muy perezosa y también
nos pone muchos deberes. Sin embargo, la física es más útil que la education física, que es
divertido pero muy exigente, ya que mi profesor tiene expectativas altas.

At school my favourite subject is maths since its very easy and fun because my maths
teacher is very nice, has a good sense of humour and inspires me to do well. I also like
chemistry and biology because they are practical, but physics is very boring because it is
very precise and my physics teacher is very lazy and also gives us lots of homework. However,
physics is more useful than PE which is fun but very demanding as my teacher has high
expectations.

3) ¿Qué opinas del uniforme escolar ?

What do you think of the school uniform?

El uniforme es bastante guay ya que la camisa tiene rayas azules. Desafortunadamente es
muy caro, sin embargo es comodo. Los pantalones son rojo oscuro y no me gusta los
pantalones porque desde mi punto de vista es anticuado. Por un lado creo que, el unifome
mejora la disciplina pero, por otro lado limita la individualidad

The uniform is pretty cool as the shirt has blue stripes. Unfortunately it is very expensive,
however it is comfortable. The pants are dark red and I don't like the pants because in my
view it is outdated. On the one hand I think, uniform improves discipline and gives a positive
image of the school on the other hand is limits individuality

En el insti hay muchas reglas como no se permite usar el móvil en clase y no correr en los
pasillos. Creo que son demasiado severas y las reglas son para fastidiar a los alumnos. Creo
que la norma más importante es respetar a los demás y no dañar las instalaciones, ya que
las reglas son para fomentar la buena disciplina, pero la mayoría de las reglas limitan la
libertad de expresión

In school there are lots of rules like your not allowed to use your mobile phone in school and
you musnt run in the corridors. I think they are too strict and the rules are for annoying the
pupils. I believe that the most important rule is to respect others and to not damage the
facilities as the rules are for promoting good discipline but majority of the rules are for limiting
freedom of expression
5) ¿Qué actividades extraescolares haces?

What extra-curricular activities do you do?

Toco la batería desde hace siete años. Este trimestre participé en un concierto en un salon
del insti y toqué un solo que era muy divertido y fue un éxito! Creo que las actividades
extraescolares son muy divertidas y te ayudan a desarrollar tus talentos y te dan una
sensación de logro. Hace dos años participé en un concurso de fotográfica y gané el
premio. Desafortunadamente dejé de hacerlo, pero voy a apuntarme al club de cine en
lugar de eso.

I’ve been playing drums for seven years and since last year I’ve been a member of the music
club. This term i took part in a concert in the school hall and i played a solo which was very
fun and was a success. I think extracurricular activities are a lot of fun and help you develop
your talents and they give you a sense of achievement. Two years ago i took part in a
photography competition and i won the award. Unfortunately i stopped doing it but I’m
going to sign up for the film club instead
