M3: Analyse the research findings and make recommendations on how
marketing strategies could be adapted or implemented.
Introduction
In this report I will be analysing the research findings and make recommendations
on how marketing strategies could be adapted or implemented.
The business that I have chosen is ,River Island is a London-headquartered high
street fashion brand, which operates in a number of worldwide markets. Set up in
1948 by Bernard Lewis and his brothers in London, it is to this day still a private
company owned by the Lewis family.
The topic of my research was to gather information about customer’s satisfaction
within the River Island business. Therefore, I designed a questionnaire to find out
how many of the students within Uxbridge college was satisfied with RIver Island
products and service that they provide. Overall I had produced 20 questionnaires.
With that the results I collected from the questionnaire gave a layout out specific
target audience that would shop at River Island.
Through this I found through my primary market research were useful to gain
important information about people’s viewpoint on RIver Island .
Examples
1. I had asked “how often do you shop at River Island in a month?”.This question
was designed to help find out and estimate how regularly people purchase at
River Island in a month .I found out that most people purchased at River
Island was once a month and 2 to 3 times as they both had selected buying
on River Island once a month. Therefore, River Island need to provide more
fashionable products to be more successful. From this it helped me to
conclude that majority of people purchase at River Island once a month.

2. I had also asked “Were you satisfied
with the customer service at River Island?”.This was a direct question which allowed
me to find out if people were happy with the customer service they had received. The
options that were presented in the questionnaire was yes ,no and not sure . Overall
50 % were satisfied with the service provided and 45 % were not sure. But 5% said
they were not satisfied.
