Students will have developed the ability to read for gist and specific information. Anticipated difficulties: 1. All students have the same L1, they might have the temptations to Suggested solutions: 1. I will set rules in the class that all students should refrain from using have a private conversation in their language during class time perhaps when a difficulty occurs. 2. Because this lesson isn’t in their L1 they will find it hard to understand and pronounce the new vocabulary. 3. Spanish speakers over pronounce the vowel /i/ so it sounds like “eee” thus could cause students to pronounce the word “iconic” incorrectly. their L1, if they do, I would kindly ask them to refrain from doing so. 2. I will start the lesson in English and ask students how they doing to make them more comfortable in speaking English in the class, when providing the students with new vocabulary I will emphasize each word giving them a clearer understanding. 3. I will provide students with phonetic and definition of all words in this way it will help students to pronounce these words correctly.
