6- Establish associated-fever and rigors, n+v, peripheral oedema, haematuria, cancer-( malaise,
lethargy, anorexia, weight loss, night sweats)
7- For women- gynae (menstrual cycle, any changes, any pain, discharge, pelvic infections,
abdominal or obstetric injuries)
8- Bowel habits (any changes, how often, constipation, diarrhoea)
9- Establish symptoms of polycystic kidney disease:
- Loin pain (character and nature of pain)
- haematuria
- Features of hypertension
10- Ask about passage of renal stones
11- Pmh diabetes, pregnancy, kidney disease, foreign body-catheter, weakened immune system,
over 65)- past medical history and drug history (ACE-I).
12- Establishes family history of renal disease
13- Establishes mother and dad of SAH
14- Illicit patients concerns and response sensitively
