Patient Suctioning: - Suction 2-3 times on the way out - 60 seconds pauses between each pass - Sterile unless on ventilator o If heart rate drops, stop suctioning o Apply O2 if needed 4. Patient with High Fever – Nursing Intervention: - Infection - High WBC 5,000-10,000 - Neutropenia – low WBC - 16,000 acute infection process 5. Patient with Metabolic Syndrome – Patient teaching: - Educate normal weight maintenance - Diet and exercise 6.
