,MAIN SOURCES OF FLUID FOR THE BODY
The main sources of fluids are what a person drinks on a daily basis. In total they make up to 60% of the fluid in our
body. We also get fluids from different types of foods we eat. For instance fruit and vegetable. This produces around
% of fluids in our body. Finally metabolic water. Metabolic water refers to water created inside a
living organism through their metabolism, by oxidizing energy-containing substances in their food. Metabolic water i
used as a fluid in the body but only a small amount.
The main sources of fluids are what a person drinks on a daily basis. All together they make up to 60% of the fluid in
our body. Most of the food we eat has high water content, predominantly fruit and vegetable which creates about 3
of fluids in our body. Metabolic water creates up to 10% of fluids in our body. Furthermore, metabolic water refers
to water produced inside a living organism over their metabolism, by dissolving energy-containing substances in the
food.
, THE EFFECT OF EXERCISE ON BODY FLUID MOVEMENTS I.E. DEHYDRATION
REHYDRATION.
Dehydration is a condition that results when the body loses more water than it takes in as they have lost water throu
sweat when exercising. However rehydration is the reverse, this is the procedure of placing water into somebod
body when they are suffering from dehydration in order to restore their fluid levels. Athletes mostly have to drin
lot of water to uphold hydration. They mainly lose their body fluids through sweat, respiration, urine and faeces
Athletes have to sustain normal body temperature and blood pressure. Continuing to drink too much fluids whe
the body is dehydrated can be dangerous. This is because it can influence the body’s brain, blood and muscle.
The more the athlete burns the fluids the extra energy they will require to return it. At this point high temperature i
unconfined as a by creation of energy. This energy is moved to help keep up the persons standard body
temperature.
