o You need to research 3 different, successful events and show evidence of your research into
the events with screen shots and explanations. You need to identify their success factors
(Profit made, reviews, ticket sales, social media followers increase etc)

o Task 2 (Explain the chosen event idea, including reasons for choice) P4

o Create a mind map of all the different event ideas that your group came up with
o Now, in detail, you must explain your chosen event idea and the reasons behind your choice,
you need to cover the following bullet points in detail:
 What is your event idea?
 Why did you choose this event?
 Purpose of the event?
 Aims and objectives of the event? (minimum 4 objectives)
 Constraints (Budget, Venue, human resources, physical resources)
 Success factors (Profit made, reviews, ticket sales, social media followers increase etc)

o Task 3 (Explain factors that need to be considered when producing a detailed plan for the proposed
event.) P5
o Here you need to complete the event plan workbook in detail which will incorporate the
following:-
 Aims and objectives
 Budget
 Resources needed
 Venue
 Catering
 Legal Constraints (health and safety)
 Team working
 Methods of communication – promotion, letters, invitations, social media
 Contingency planning – ‘What if’ Scenarios, e.g. ‘What if caterers do not turn up’
 You need to also conduct meetings with your group, a minimum of 4 meetings to be
conducted. You need to take meeting notes and include these within this report.
