Unit 9: Learning Aim D – How did the project go?
Introduction:
I have been recruited by a new software development company as a trainee project manager. I have
completed the project with my team and after finishing the project I have been asked to analyse
how effectively the project management went. In order for the project to be effective, my group and
I addressed what skills we had adopted, how far we had progressed during the project, and what
each person's responsibility was in the project, since we had divided the project for each member.

Project management skills:
Time Management:
We had a time limitation to finish our project, so managing the time was an important task for us.
We had a conscious control of time spent on specific activities to increase the effectiveness of the
activities. In the process we have created a planning about members finishing their specific task in
their own time but within a time limit. We made the plan because it was very important to improve
the productivity.

We have created a time frame and a Gantt chart to be aware of how much time we are spending for
the specific tasks and finish the project with the appropriate correction before the deadline. This
helped us to be aware of what work had to be done to stay up to date and what were the next
individual tasks to be done. The skill of management of the time has improved our efficiency which
made our project perform well.

Collaboration:
Collaboration is an extremely vital skill for any workplace. We have separated the tasks for us and
helped each other to improve our tasks. We had a control over our remaining tasks as every time we
finished any tasks, we communicated with other team members to boost our productivity. We made
sure no one of us are staying behind with their responsibilities.
