Unit 12:
Internet Marketing

1

, Introduction

In this task I will be explaining, using detailed examples, how internet
marketing has made my chosen business NatWest more efficient, effective
and successful by embracing the internet.
•NatWest was founded in 1968 and is now a public limited company that
works in the financial services industry. Their headquarters are located in
135 Bishops gate, London, EC2M 3UR. NatWest chairman is Sir Howard
Davies and the chief executive is Ross McEwan. The main product is
banking and insurance. NatWest has 33,000 employees and the parent
company is The Royal Bank of Scotland Group. Their slogan is “Helpful
Banking” and their website is www.natwest.com

, Use of Internet to manage supply chain

Line Manager

Manager Manager

Sales Assistant Sales Assistant Sales Assistant Sales Assistant

This supply chain of NatWest Shows that NatWest has a hierarchal system in which people follow in
order to get the job done. Example is if the line manager said that not enough people know about a
particular account such as the gold reward account then the Line manager will inform the managers and
in return the managers will then make a plan to teach the sales assistance to introduce customers to the
account more when they pop into the store. The supply chain is fed information upwards while orders
are fed downwards onto the sales assistance when needed.
