Graham Asset Management
Graham Environmental Services are an established service provider in the occupational
health and safety and compliance management sector. The organisation is a national
company which offers a wide range of consultancy, monitoring and maintenance services in
the field of water hygiene, water treatment and fire risk management throughout the UK
and Ireland. The business has bases around the UK and Ireland. However, the office which I
am applying for a job in is the Belfast base. Graham Environmental Services currently have
over 1,000 staff across all the different departments of the organisation.
There are different job roles within this organisation. Another job role within the
organisation is a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer. This will involve designing, controlling
and monitoring maintenance control systems and ensure they are all planned and carried
out within time and cost constraints. Also, controlling the purchase and supply oaf all
engineering supplies and services. Another job role within Graham Asset Management is a
Cleaning Supervisor. This job would involve managing and supervising the entire Cleaning
department within the company. For example, Water Treatment and Hygiene. It would also
involve managing labour and supervising cost as well as maximising value and improving
productivity.

I have attached two screen prints of the person specification. The purpose of a person
specification is to provide information about the type of person that the organisation is
looking for to do the job. The person specification attached is separate from the job
description. The main parts of this person specification are Technical Competencies which is
split into Essential and Desirable, as well as Behavioural Competencies.
This organisation is looking for someone who possesses strong IT skills and excellent
attention to detail. The candidate must also have administrative experience, have an
excellent telephone manner. GCSE Maths and English at Grade C or equivalent are also
compulsory.
Desirable attributes for the job include experience in IFS software and experience of
facilities management or a related service industry. However, this is not compulsory.
