OVERVIEW
This course is equivalent to three A Levels and consists of four core modules which include:
Business Environment
Investigating Business Resources
Introduction to Marketing
Business Communication
and 14 specialist Business modules including subjects like Introduction to Retailing,
Spreadsheet Modelling, starting a Small Business, Managing Human Resources, Financial
Accounting and Managing a Business Event.
WHO IS THIS COURSE FOR?
This course is suited to anyone who has an interest in the world of business and how
business works. The course is versatile and covers a wide range of topics highlighted above.
The course demands hard work and a keen interest to do well.
REQUIREMENTS
14 points (see points awarded for qualifications on page 9) or greater, consisting of at least 4 GCSE
Grade C, or equivalent qualification profile from the QCF

PROGRESSION
You may progress to a degree course or an HNC/D in areas such as Accountancy, Business
Studies, Business Management, International Business, Event Management and Hospitality,
Transport Management and Logistics, Law or Teaching or to a career in business

well as other business related careers.
