I will now identity my strength and weaknesses from my session, and then I will talk about what I
would change if I were to do the session again.
My first strength was that I had all the equipment out that I needed so that I could set up before the
lesson starts so the session could start as soon as all the participants arrived. Therefore the session
would be started a lot quicker. My next strength was that I was loud throughout the session; this
was so the participants could hear me over the music so they knew when they had to change
activities after the set amount of time had passed. Another strength was that when a participant
came to me for help I showed them how to do the correct activity so that the technique was right so
the activity that they will be doing will be done in the most effective way. From the participant
feedback I identified that they thought that my instructions were clear and they understood what
they were doing.
A weakness of the session that I delivered was that the participant completed the circuits, quicker
than I thought so the session finished 10 minutes earlier therefore I could have removed some of the
activities and then sent the participant around the circuits again to fill the time up. My next
weakness was that I didn’t show all the activities, I only showed examples of the activities that I
thought the participants would struggle with. Another weakness from the session was that the
activities of the circuit were spread apart so it was difficult to get to each of the activities to correct
participant if they are doing the technique wrong therefore I would have to move to a smaller
venue.
If I were to do the session again I would make sure the participant are more motivated, I would do
this so the participant would work harder and wouldn’t get distracted, this would be done by giving
them more praise. I would also shorten each of the times of the activities as the 1 minute for each
activity seem to allow the participants to get distracted and therefore they weren’t working at their
best, I would shorten the time to 30 seconds for each activity as this would allow the participant do
the best in each activity. I would also change to a smaller venue as the activities were spread apart
therefore this would allow me to get to each activity quicker to help participant if they were doing
something wrong.
