and selection activities
In this assignment I am going to explain what is the impact of
the legal and regulatory framework on recruitment and
selection activities.
Recruitment and selection represent a very important part of
any businesses. In UK every businesses need to comply with
the legislation, and there is a lot of legislation that businesses
need to comply with. This fact has the role to ensure that the
process of recruitment and selection is fair and that every
candidate can have equal access to job vacancies, and also
every employee have to be treated equally.
The UK environment is ruled by two key areas of legislation:
- Laws passed within the UK. The UK’s parliament and
government is responsible for passing UK legislation that
affects all the businesses that operate in that country.
- Laws passed within the European Union. The European Union
contains 28 European states on the Europe continent who have
joined together to become united and to allow free movement
of people, goods and services across them. The European
Parliament is responsible for passing EU legislation that affects
all the states of the EU (Including United Kingdom).
